Little Girls!!

These days I think I find myself very entertained by my 16 month old. For some reason she can make me laugh all day long. Maybe it's the way she runs back and forth in the basement like a ghost is chasing her or how she breaks out in crazy dance moves at any time. No matter what, she is truly our number one entertainment everyday.

We have really grown attached to the rocking horse and Alivia has figured out if she rocks hard enough she can move it around the basement. Every once in awhile Clint and I will catch her rocking side to side with a little wiggle while snapping her fingers. I try to get it on video, but she always stops before I can get it.
From the horse to the wooden box. Alivia has finally figured out she can stand inside a lot of things and especially this box. She will climb into it and reach around to pull toys out of the bins next to her and then climb out and play with what she got out. It's very weird, but hey I am sure in her mind it makes so much sense.

One of my favorite things about Alivia is when she wakes up in the morning. She always comes in our room after either me going to get her or Clint if he is out of the shower. She will sit in bed and watch Clint get ready and hold his shirt or pants till it's time to put them on. The best part of seeing Alivia each morning is her crazy hair. No matter how nice it looks the night before she always looks like a rag-a-muffin in the morning and I LOVE IT!

All sides of Alivia

These days it's hard to catch Alivia doing her silly things she does. If I am lucky to have the camera by me when she is in her moment it's hilarious. These are just a few videos of Alivia either dancing or I guess being Alivia.

Pumpkin Patch

It's that time of year again for all our favorite holiday's to start. I am so excited for Alivia to truly experience trick or treating this year. She will be dressing up and going around our neighborhood. It will be interesting to see how she does. I feel like after the first piece of candy goes in her pumpkin bucket she will be all about that and not want to continue.
Well to start off this time of year we headed to the pumpkin patch with Alivia's cousins Jack and Presley. They had a great time jumping in the big pumpkin and going through the hunted house. I think picking out pumpkins was the hit though.

Here is my little pumpkin herself picking out which ones we should bring home. I think she had more fun breaking off the stems of each pumpkin.
What a picture, Alivia and her favorite buddy Jack. He is such a good cousin to her and they just love being around each other.

I think she might be sitting in a pile of gourds, but hey at least she has a smile on her face. The things we put our kids through for a picture.

My little cutie pie having so much fun!!!

What a smile group of kids, don't you think? Looks like they are just having so much fun. I think we will take what we can get of the three of them together since it's the hardest thing to do.

Happy Halloween!!!

Trouble one and trouble two...... enough said....

New things....

Last week we headed down to Iowa for a quick visit. Alivia had a great time with grandma and grandpa and all her uncles and auntie! Grandma did a little beauty day with Alivia and washed her hair in the sink. This was a first for her and let's just say it might be awhile before we try it again. Grandma did a great job making her look beautiful and clean though.

Another new thing is running around the house naked during bath time. The minute she gets her clothes off she will take off running. She will just laugh and laugh and think it's the funniest thing. I guess she is still young enough that this is okay....

Snow Day!!!

Alivia and I had our first snow day! After breakfast she could hardly wait to get outside. The whole time while she was eating she just watch the snow come down. We washed up and she headed for the back sliding door. We bundled up and slowly checked out this white stuff.
I think at first she was a little unsure of why it was everywhere and on her toys. She would use her pointer finger to touch it and move it around. The first time she put her hands on the snow she looked up at me and said "brrrrrrrr". Once she checked it all out we were off to explore the rest of the backyard.
I made snowballs which she then would throw at Sampson because that is what we usually do with balls at our house. I was shocked she didn't try to eat any of the snow. I mean everything else goes in the mouth why wouldn't nice white cold snow.

I guess we couldn't go a day without organizing the rocks in the backyard either. I thought the snow would be enough distraction from finding the rocks, but not for this little girl.

Overall the morning was a hit. Alivia had her first experience playing in snow which there will be many more days like this to come. We do need to get some mittens and maybe our snowsuit. I wasn't planning on getting it this soon, but hey anything can happen in MN weather..... These early snow days reminds me of when I was a kid. We always had snow by Halloween and we hated it because we always had to wear tons of clothes under our costumes.

Fun Fall Day!

Alivia started this wonderful day off with a play date with Sam. We headed to the indoor park and burned some energy off. They had a great time running around and playing with each other. We then met daddy for lunch which was a fun surprise to see daddy during the day. By then it was time for a nap, but once we got up we headed outside for some fun adventures in the backyard.
Alivia's tomboy side sure comes out when we play outside. She loves to play with rocks, sticks and the mulch. She will walk around talking to herself with a stick in one hand and a rock if small enough in the other.
This was just another day enjoying the wonderful weather before it snowed the following day. How it can go from 60 degrees to 30 in one day is amazing, but hey I guess it's just a reminder of where we live.

My running buddy...

I love having a running buddy. These days when I ask Alivia if she wants to run with mommy she will look at me and run to the back door. I love how she gets excited to go sit, but hey it's fun for me to have someone to push around to pass the time.
I think she likes all the cars that are out when we are running. There is a lot to watch and look at during our run. Maybe I have a future running buddy to actually run next to...

Getting ready for a run and it was a bit chilly so we had to bundle up a bit. I could not resist how cute she looked so I ran and got my camera. The more serious side of Alivia. I think she was annoyed that I was taking pictures instead of getting the show on the road.

Alivia update

Alivia had a doctors appointment today and is doing well. She is a healthy and happy 16 month old. She weighed in at 25.6 lbs and is 33 inches tall. Had 3 shots and did not shed a tear, what a tough little girl.
Top Ten Reasons We Love Alivia
1. They way she looks at you out of the corner of her eye and smiles.
2. How she hides behind the couch to go #2 and then comes out to tell me she went "poo".
3. They way she will hug you out of the blue and just want to cuddle.
4. When she is ready for bed she will walk herself to her bedroom and say "nini" as she is walking down the hall.
5. The way she will lay on the floor on her tummy and draw pictures with her favorite pen and sing to herself.
6. When she wants you to read to her she will go into her room bring out books and come sit by us.
7. How she thinks everything is hot even her clothes, milk and toys.
8. When ever she hears music she will break out in her awesome dance moves while snapping her fingers.
9. When I tell her daddy's home she will look at me with the biggest smile and run to the back door yelling daaaaaaa...
10. The sound of her giggle that is just infectious.......
