Glow stick bath party

I saw this idea and immediately went out and bought glow sticks for the girls to use.  On Friday night it was bath night.  I got them all ready and in the bath with water.  I told them I was going to shut the lights off because we were having a fun bath night.  The started getting excited and laughing.  I started snapping the glow sticks and throwing them into the bathtub and their faces light up in total excitement.  Best bath night so far.  The played in the dark with them and never asked for a bath toy.  Once we got out the fun continued in Alivia's room.  I shut the curtains and her room gets pretty dark.  They played till bedtime in her room.  Clint and I sat back and enjoyed an evening to ourselves for a bit.  It was a fun, fun night!  Oh and the glow sticks are from Targets dollar section.  Fifteen come in a tube and let me tell you I bought enough for many fun nights...

How we roll.....

These days this is how Ella rolls.  If she is not naked we are in this Elmo outfit perfectly with our Elmo bag and Elmo lunch box holding her cows.  This crazy girl is so opposite from her sister while Alivia has to be dressed up from head to toe from the moment she wakes up.  Ella is more my speed, keeping it real and comfortable till noon unless we leave the house...
Also, we are past 20 weeks and forgot to post an updated picture.  After looking at it I decided I should at least look a little nicer for the next picture so I don't look so washed out and lazy.  Baby and mom are doing well and growing.  We are excited to meet this one but are having a lot of fun shopping for this little boy.  Let me tell you boy shopping is way easier than girl shopping.  This is a nice change!

Ella's Party weekend

We started off the weekend  with a little tradition I started with the girls on their birthdays.  We always go to the Mall of America to ride rides.  So on Friday we made our way to the MOA with my aunt Jama, my mom and the girls.  We rode rides and had a blast all afternoon.

Ella, Alivia and great aunt Jama on Dora's Bus
 Alivia driving her truck
Ella and Jama on Blues Clues
Now on to Saturday the big party day.  The theme was Sesame Street and Ella loved it.  We had a wonderful afternoon of weather and just a lot of fun celebrating.

Oh Boy!

If you haven't already heard the Varleys are having a BOY!!!!  We are so excited and still a little in shock.  I am happy, excited, scared and ready for a new adventure.  For me it's like starting all over again since I have been raising two princesses for the past 4 years.  We are all ready for this little boy to arrive.  I mean this boy is going to be trained so well by his sisters any girl will be lucky to date him in the future.

His little foot.  The doctor mentioned how long his toes are.  I laughed because Alivia has those long finger
toes too..

Proof that it is a little boy in there.  Let me just say when you are so used to hearing "its a girl" this was a little overwhelming at first, but slowly sinking in each day.  Nothing will take away seeing Clint light up with pure excitement when she said "its a boy".  All I could think of was how long he has been waiting to hear those words.  We feel truly blessed with this little boy and the girls couldn't be more ready for a brother.  I didn't know what I was going to tell Alivia if the baby wasn't a boy since she has told everyone she was having a brother named clowngirl, tuna (thanks to Paul) or savin.

Ella's birthday

Ella spent her actual birthday in Iowa.  She was a lucky little girl to get to wake up to her favorite thing right now, her cows.  She woke up and imidiately opened the window to see them.  I think I have a farm girl on my hands and it's pretty cute.  She also got to do lots of fun Easter activities on her big day and a special dinner with family later that night.  This weekend is her party so pictures to come!

Ella opening her presents and this one was special because she now has her own gator.  Grandpa takes Ella on the gator to go see the baby cows.

                                                            Waking up to her cows

Easter in Iowa

We had so much fun this past weekend visiting grandma and grandpa.  The girls had two Easter egg hunts, played fun Easter games and celebrated someones 2nd birthday.  We even fit in a picnic at the park before we headed home.  Always so much fun when we visit grandma and grandpa!
Waiting patiently for auntie Courtney to come down so we can start the Easter egg hunt...
Oh my!  Someone found a money egg
With a little help from sister Ella managed to fill her bucket too....
Grandpa helped miss Ella out on opening her Easter eggs.  I think she ate 3 chocolate eggs before we                       even had breakfast.  Hey anything goes on your birthday right!
Off to Greenfield for some more Easter fun.  The girls played games, visited to Easter bunny and did another egg hunt.  The girls took picking out their prizes way to serious.  Alivia managed to sneak away with two pencils and a necklace.

Working together to get this game done.  It's not really a challenge when you stand right in front of it.
After the big Easter egg hunt in Greenfield.  I think Alivia filled her bucket and Ella was able to get I think 4 eggs.  Fun times!!!!

Happy Easter

What a difference a year makes.  Last year I could barely get Alivia near the Easter bunny and Ella was so scared.  This year they both went up and smiled after a few waves to the bunny he was finally okay to be by.  This might go down in history as one of our best holiday pictures with either a bunny, Santa or any character.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend!!!

Start of Easter fun!!!

V-Girlz Easter 2012

Fun with friends

It's been fun watching Ella grow into this kid/toddler over night.  She plays and interacts so well with her friends.  On this day she played with Lilly at the park and they did a lot of ring around the rosie, swings and running around.  It's so fun watching them communicate and have fun together.
On this day the girls were talking to their papa's.  They would so each other the phone (like there is a picture on it) and say "papa".
Who can resist the tire swing and these faces.  Being a kid is so much fun!
