Fun warm fall day

We had so much fun gathering all the leaves to fill our pumpkin bags.  I think the girls had more fun making a big pile and then running and jumping in them.  Love this time of year!

4 weeks old

As of today Colin is 4 weeks old, but I guess I should go by the 28th of each month maybe.  Well this month it's early.  Colin has grown so much in the last 4 weeks.  He has filled out a bit and is more awake these days.  He loves being held up on your shoulder or laying flat on the floor to check everything out.  Every once in a while you will catch him smiling or cooing which is so fun to see.  Alivia thinks he always smiles when she is talking to him, but it's really when he hears moms voice.  

So far he is a great baby.  He sleeps really well and cries when he needs to burp.  I would have many more babies if they all could be like him....

It's hard to believe Colin will be 1 month old tomorrow.  He has grown so much these past few weeks and has recently started smiling a little when he hears my voice or if you tickle his chin.  I guess he could have gas too, but I like to think he is smiling at me!

Alivia just loves her little brother.  She is always worried of where he is at and what he is doing.  She loves to give him kisses and tell him stories.  It's been so nice having a second pair of hands with him and see such a loving bond she has made with him.

Summer in September

One final swim day before the cooler weather heads our way.  The kids had so much fun at papa and nana's for the last time of the year.  Swimming, pizza and fun sounds like a party to me!

Fun day

Fun day at the falls with all the kiddos.  My sister and I took all the kids to Minnehaha Falls on Saturday for a fun day hiking and playing.  We had a hard time at first finding our way down the falls since I had a stroller, but after a little walking we found a trail down.  The kids had fun playing in where the water should have been .  The falls were completely dry, but we made the most of it and had some fun.  

Week of first days

Alivia had her first day of dance and school last week and I couldn't be more proud of her.  This is her second year of dance and was so excited to go and meet the new kids that will be her class.  She is the oldest this year and looks at least 2 years older than most.  

It's also our second year of preschool!  Alivia was able to go and meet her new teacher and class before the first day which made it so much more exciting.  Alivia got one of the best teachers this year Mrs. Armstrong who has the best and most outgoing personality.  She has 9 boys and girls in her class which is the limit for a class their.  Last year she was in a class of all girls and there was only 5 of them.  This year she was pretty excited to have some boys in her class....

Over the weekend we headed down to Iowa for Clint's brother's wedding.  If was our first big road trip since we had Colin and being a week old he was amazing.  He slept the whole drive down and and back home which made the drive easy.  Friday night the girls got to swim and be crazy at the hotel.  They thought it was pretty cool having everyone they new at the hotel with them.  Pretty sure they opened and ran out of our room the entire weekend to find people they knew.

Here are a few of Colin's newborn pictures we took last week.  Out of 60 I had to narrow it down just a few for the blog.  I am working on his announcement which will be out to you all soon.  

 I am bias, but I think my little guy and girls are pretty darn cute!  

Swim time!

We just can't get enough pool time in before it will be to cold to swim anymore.  The girls have loved swimming so much this summer and have grown to become my little fish.  Clint has done a great job with both girls teaching them basic swimming techniques which has made a huge difference for them.
