Halloween Fun

This month has been full of art projects, exploring outside and pumpkin fun.  I think we could easily open a Halloween art store with the amount of project we have done.  Thank goodness we are on to a new holiday starting Friday!
The girls had fun carving their first pumpkin.  Colin even got in on it and painted his own little pumpkin.  Love this time of year especially all the fun things I get to do with my kids...
Not to sure about what they were sticking their hands into.  After I took most of the insides out they finally got into it and started pulling all the seeds and slime out.
 That's my girls!
Finished pumpkins for the Varley girls.. After carving Alivia's Ella decided she wanted to use her princess decorations from last year.
Colin had way to much fun painting his pumpkin.  Pretty sure he ate most of the paint.
 Yummmmm
I guess the bigger the mess the more fun we had!

This and That

These days you never know what will go on in the Varley house.  We do a lot of art projects, baking and plenty of playing.  Lately the girls like to play school.  It's been great for Ella because she has shown a HUGE interest in writing and pretending to read which is so fun to see!
Pizza night at our house is always fun.  The girls make their own pizza.  Alivia loves cheese, bacon and olives.  Ella likes mushrooms and cheese...
One of the many crazy faces Ella likes to do.  She is one crazy child!!!
Colin has shown us how he loves to find the weirdest places to sit.  At first it was any chair he could find now it's anything his body will fit into.

Boys...boys...boys

I am learning a lot these days about boys.  Didn't believe it when everyone told how different boys were till now.  Everyday this little man keeps us on our toes.  When he is awake is is moving constantly.  Colin is either trying to climb up something, crash his batman car into the wall or face plant into a toy leaving him pretty much black and blue all the time.  I am more tired with him than I ever way with my sweet calm girls...
Colin loves to wear anything on his head.  It could be sunglasses, headbands, tiaras or long braids that clip in he loves it.
He is a crazy man full of spunk, energy and so much sweetness!
It kind of goes with the territory when you have two older sisters.  Their activities are his place to shine and turn on the charm especially when it's a dance studio full of girls!
To be totally honest this little cutie can do no wrong right now.  I love him dearly and he will be the greatest boyfriend someday with all these women in his life guiding him through their crazy world...

Pumpkin Time

Over the weekend the kids went and picked out their pumpkins.  It was a beautiful day and the girls had fun jumping in the big pumpkin and Colin loved climbing around all the pumpkins...
 My three crazy kids
 Big decision
Oh and one got put in jail for being too cute!

Apple Orchard

Last week I took the kiddos to Emma Krumbees apple orchard.  It was so fun and basically we had the place to ourselves since we went during the week and day!  It was a beautiful 80 degree day and we picked a lot of apples, road the train, saw animals, played in the park area and got a little yummy snack..
This is what you get when you try to get three kids under 5 to all look at you at the same time...

Colin even picked a few for our bag

TC Marathon

Sunday the kids, Annette and I headed out for the morning to watch all the marathon runners and Clint run.  It was a beautiful day for a 26.2 mile run and also to get lost along the way....
Alivia at the 7.5 mile corner.  Everyone was looking good and we saw some pretty fun costumes from runners.
The girls cheering the runners as they came by.  Alivia had a beautiful rainbow sign and Ella was a master at the cow bell...
Clint and the half way point.  Looking good so far!
Just made it up the hill and hit mile 19.
Stopped at mile 24 to give hugs and high fives to the kids...
Almost to the finish line.  Only 200 feet left....
What a huge accomplishment by our superman... We are all so proud of Clint and had so much fun cheering him on along the way!!!

Varley kiddos

Colin is so funny these days.  He loves to climb into things, on top of anything and get as high as he can.  Colin also loves to throw anything you give him to play with.  He can be pretty dangerous if you are to close.
The night before Clint's marathon we went out to eat at Cowboy Jacks (Alivia's choice).  We were lucky to get a table right next to the bull riding area.  Alivia was the only brave one to climb on...
Since the weather has been so  nice this past week the girls have been coloring outside a lot.  We color so much in our house and do art we could open our own art gallery.  As long as they love it I will continue to give them anything to create with!
The girls also found my old bun forms from when I danced.  They thought they were pretty cool to wear these and loved how big their hair looked.  Always something at the Varley house...

Nice weather=fun times

The other weekend the kids and I went to grandma Joyce's work to see some of the Vikings cheerleaders and enjoy some yummy food.  The girls loved it while Colin enjoyed sucking on all the ice cubs in the beverage bucket.
Colin even got in on the fun with his buddy Nickolas!

Colin loves chairs so we turned his diaper box into a little lounge chair.  Add in some pillows and toys this boy has it made!
In our house chalk is one of our favorite things to do outside.  Our backyard is always colorful in some way with the kiddos chalk art.  Colin has finally figured out we don't eat the chalk, but use it to color.  Thank goodness for good teachers to show him how to use it.
Don't you love my kids my kids choice of clothes.  Alivia loves her some sport bra action while Colin loves to chill in his diaper.
