We have been having such wonderful weather that I can not resist going to the park with the girls. This park day was extra special since Ella got her first swing ride. She loved it and just sat back and enjoyed the wind in her face. Boy are they growing up fast. I remember bringing Alivia to the park when she was Ella's age.

Growing up!
Someone in our house has shown a big interest in potty training. One day we decided to not wear pants and then a few days later it was the diaper. She just didn't want to wear it so I told that someone they had to really try going in the big potty and she did it. No this has not been a complete change yet. We are in the beginning stages, but going great so far.
(I know total nerd mom taking a picture of her, but come on it only happens for the first time once)

Night out on the town!
Mom and dad got to get all dressed up on Friday night and head downtown for a fun night out. Before we went us girls had to do our hair and make-up. Alivia and mommy had a lot of fun with the curlers while Ella watched (poor thing has no hair) maybe next year. After hair we did our make-up and then put our dress on well mommy put hers on.
Alivia having a blast getting ready. She thought we were going to aunties wedding again since she got her hair done then too.

Parenting 101
These days you never know what the day will bring with a 2 yr old and a almost 6 months old. Every time I turn the corner they are doing something new or outrageous. If you follow our blog you know that Alivia loves to change clothes throughout the day which means it can be from everyday clothes to a swimsuit. Today I was cleaning up the kitchen and noticed it was very quiet. It can only be two things a. a good show is on or b. we got into something we should have such as make-up. Well today was neither one of those things. I came out from the kitchen and found my 2 yr old reading my US weekly. I didn't know if I should be ashamed of myself for bad parenting or laugh because she was so into looking at it. Either way the only thing she really liked was the mommy's dressed up and the kids. Good thing she can't read!
On to my other issue which would be with Ella. Lately we have noticed my little baby has an extra long crack (sorry if this inappropriate) but it's true. I have to laugh because it pops out of all her diapers and heaven for bid when she is older the girl will never get to wear low rise jeans or a bikini. Maybe this a good problem to have or will I be the mom with the daughter that has her crack hanging out like some teens I see these days. Oh the joys of motherhood or just having girls....

Girl Day
On Friday we had a total girl day. Presley, Alivia, Ella and me played all day. Alivia always loves when her cousins or anyone her age comes to play. The girls I think got into everything from pads (that you wear after having a baby aka mom diapers) to coloring pictures for days. We also did stickers and Ella got a lot of attention.
Not sure how appropriate this is, but the girls somehow found the left over bag from the hospital and thought it was fun to play with these "big stickers" that is what they called them. Got to love a 2 and 3 year old mind.

My two girls
Life has been great at the Varley household. Alivia loves to play with her sister. We do ring around the rosy A LOT and Alivia reads to her too. Now that Ella is getting older and more like a real person to Alivia it's been fun to watch them together.
Even though Alivia is the big sister she has to do everything Ella does. When she eats cereal, Alivia eats cereal. When Ella puts on her PJ's Alivia puts on her PJ's and these days it has to be the same kind. Before Alivia always liked pants and a t-shirt, but now it's back to basics with the jumpsuit ones...

Baby Fun
We were so lucky to get to babysit Lilly the other day. Alivia was in her glory having another baby to make laugh and kiss on. Lilly had such a fun time with Ella and played great together. Claire and Sam also came over that day to join the fun.

Valley Fair Fun!!!
Our annual trip to Valley Fair came and went which means it's time for fall. This year the kids had so much fun. Both girls were older and a little more ready to ride some of the bigger rides. Everyone had such a good time even though it was hot hot hot......
For some reason the girls never wanted to look at me when I was taking a picture. Oh well I still caught them having a good time. This was the hit ride of the day for Alivia.
We did slow things down a bit and took a train ride. I think they needed some relaxing time in the shade.

5 months old
I am 5 months old now and growing up fast. I love playing with my sister, laughing and rolling all around the house. I am starting to really enjoy my toys such as the exersauser and jump-a-roo. These days I play with my friends Lilly and Claire and have been enjoying my awesome rice cereal. I look forward to what I will start doing this month.

Labor Day Weekend in Iowa
What a fun Labor Day Weekend in Iowa. Both girls had a wonderful time playing with grandma, grandpa, auntie Courtney and uncle Chad. They played with make-up, baked goodies, went shopping, jump on the trampoline and a lot of swinging. We always have such a fun time when we visit.....
Auntie Courtney and Alivia just hanging in the kitchen
Ella being such a big girl after eating some yummy rice cereal
Getting ready to go outside and do some swinging. Grandma helped with keeping our hair out of our face and keeping stylish at the same time.

A little bit of this and a little bit of that
It's been so fun these last few weeks. We have been down to IA for visits, to the pool, Valley Fair, had friends over to play and so on. So this blog will be all over the place, but full of fun. Enjoy!
Miss Ella in her new jumper and loving it
Who knows what Alivia will come out of her room in these days. I guess that's why we love her so much, she keeps us laughing all day long.
