Happy 1st Birthday Colin

A year ago our family was blessed with a healthy baby boy.  Our family was so complete when Colin Evan Varley arrived.  Colin almost was born at home or in the car.  He decided to come early and fast.... From the day he was born he was perfect in every way.  He was quiet, sweet, kissable and mine!  I love him more and more every day.  He has truly been the missing piece to our family and I thank god every day for how lucky I am to have such wonderful kids...
Colin has been the easiest baby yet... He is simple and patient which is good with two older sisters.  He has made this first year a breeze.
Colin's personality has definitely come through these days.  He love to smile and laugh all the time.  I can just look at him and he will give me a HUGE grin back with those beautiful blue eyes.
I never thought there would be to much of a difference with a boy versus my girls.  I promise you this.  I have never said never when it came to boys because I know I have it coming.  Colin has started making mom work a lot harder these days and those kid leashes have looked pretty useful lately.
Colin is just a ball of fun and I just can't say enough how awesome of a little boy he has turned into.  He melts my heart and I just feel so lucky to have him and say he is mine.  I can't wait to see what an amazing man he will grow up to be some day.
I love you, I love you, I love you
Colin loves balls right now and jumping.  He loves to throw anything up in the air to see where it goes. He also will try to jump when he is standing next to something, it pretty funny to watch.
Well my little buddy I don't know where this last year went, but I can't wait to watch you grow and amaze me more and more.

Baby to Toddler in a day

Since Colin's first birthday is next week I decided he should get a big boy haircut to go with the big celebration.  It was so funny to watch him look at himself and sit so still for the lady doing his hair.  He would talk to her and then do his silly "whoa" thing...
My little boy all ready for his first haircut
Such a big boy
 Cut...cut...cut
 Turning into a little man
 Finishing up
And now he such a big boy.  Can't believe how a haircut can change a look so much.

Alivia had so much fun at her basketball camp.  It was a week long camp that was 2 hours a day.  I was shocked how much she loved it.  It's fun to see her be excited and all about it.  She was dressed and ready every morning and just couldn't wait to get there to see coach Buddy.

 My little baller
After Ella, Colin and I would go for a run we would come back early to watch.  Colin loved playing with the basketballs and watching all the craziness.

summer creations

As you know we love to bake at the Varley house.  This summer we have been making some fun amazing cakes.  I got the itch to try to make some fun ones that I dying to try.  Thanks to Jack, Presley and grandpa Evan they don't mind my using them to try them out.
I make a nail polish cake for Presley's 6th birthday.  She loves the color blue and to play on the Channel no.5 I did P (for Presley and since she was turning 6) which brought me to do the Pno.6.
Jack's was fun to do and easy.  He was having a mustache birthday party (totally normal).
Evan's cake was fun to do.  The two buns were made out of white cake and the hamburger in the middle was a brownie.  So much fun!
Can't wait to post Colin's cake when he turns one in two weeks.....

11 months

I can't believe this is my last month of my little baby before he turns one year old.  Each kid has grown up faster and faster.  Colin has truly been such a perfect baby.  Yes we have had some bumps, but over all he has been so easy.  We love him dearly and now that his personality is starting to come through it's so fun to see him interact with the girls.
These days finding him sitting still is not heard of.  He is everywhere and fast.  He loves to climb, crawl into very small places and get stuck.  He laughs and smiles all the time.  Colin has 12 teeth (4 on top, 4 on bottom and 1 yr molars).  Life with Colin is an adventure and I wouldn't change anything about him.
We love to do hands up and laugh
Colin has many odd faces like the old man one
He is simple and just a snuggle bug
and extremely determined when he wants something.
WE LOVE US SOME COLIN
