Art projects anyone....

Okay so in the Varley house we do art projects everyday all day.  If Alivia could paint, cut out things or glue rainbows on paper she would all the time.  I think I could open my own store to sell kid artwork.  I easily could sell 20 projects a day and have plenty left over.  My girls are art crazy......
Don't get me wrong I love watching their imagination at work and see what creative idea comes out of a 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 yr old, but I struggle with new ideas all the time.  Thank goodness for pinterest.

Surprise!

Grandma Annette surprised the kids yesterday morning by showing up at our door.  The kids had no idea and their pure excitement was awesome when she drove in to the driveway.  The reason for her coming up was to surprise Alivia for her special person day at school today.  She was able to pick someone special to her to come to school with her for the day.  Little did she know we had this planned for a month.  I think the smile below explains it all!

My little diva

Alivia loves to sing and perform to anyone who will watch and listen.  She just cracks me up with her songs she makes up.  I only captured a little part of her hour performance she put on for us.  Love this little girl!

Pump it Up

Friday's this winter have become our fun days.  We try to go play somewhere, do crazy art projects, or eat lunch somewhere different.  On this day we headed to Pump it Up.  Ella had never been and we had a coupon so that is where we ended it up.  The girls had a blast running around for 2 hrs.  There were only 5 kids total and so they had the whole place basically to themselves.  Colin loved watching everyone!
In this video Colin was watching the girls go down the slides.  He would do this freak out thing and I couldn't figure out what he was doing until I put it together that he was doing it when the girls would run by or slide.

Fun with daddy

Clint has been having so much fun with the girls lately.  He was excited to take them outside and run around in the snow the other day.  My girls are pretty lucky!

WT Rodeo

Clint and I took the girls this year to the Worlds Toughest Rodeo.  Last year we only took Alivia, but this year Ella got to join in on the fun.  Last year is when we told my mom and Paul that we were expecting so it's kind of crazy to think it was a year ago already.
Classic family picture.  Alivia trying to be cute, Ella so excited to just be going and Colin watching his sisters to see whats going on.

Ella was so excited for the concert, but unfortunately she fell asleep about 20 min before it started.

Potty Party

It's been a long road, but Ella finally decided to be a big girl and potty in the potty.  It's been a month and life has been great with only one kid in diapers.  Clint and I feel like we have won the lottery these days with the extra diaper money... We could not be more proud of Ella.  We have tried every trick in the book since this summer to get her to potty and nothing worked which probably meant she wasn't ready.  This time it was easy we bought undies and never looked back.

So the one thing I promised or we used this summer was a potty party.  I felt like I had to hold up my end since she FINALLY held up hers.  So we had a potty party for my Ella.  Presley and Jack came and Ella had a cake and got some new undies.

It's crazy what we do for our kids.  I guess I can't pass up having a little party for this HUGE accomplishment in Ella's life.
