Thanksgiving week!

Now that we are back home from a very fun week at grandma and grandpa's we have tons to share with everyone. Alivia just loves being at grandma's and has a hard time leaving her side the entire time we are there which is so cute. The week was full of eating, family and shopping and you can't go wrong with any of that.

A wonderful family picture. I think Alivia takes after her daddy with her facial expressions. There are four of us in this picture just one little girl is still growing.
While we were in IA Alivia showed her many obsessions and the first was kitties. One of grandma's cats had babies and they were always at the back door which Alivia loved to go look at them. Today was a special day because she got to hold them and let me tell you if we would let her take one home she would have been the happiest girl in IA.

A wonderful shot of my little princess. It was hard to keep her still for any type of picture and somehow grandma was able to capture this one.

On to the second obsession of the week, babies. Okay so I new she loved babies, but let me tell you when Berkely came in the door in her car seat Alivia literally got in it with her and layed there. She would not leave her alone the whole night. She hugged, kissed and layed with Berkley all night. Oh and she definitely thought she needed to be feed the entire night. I guess I have another little mommy on my hands when baby sister arrives.

Such a good helper!

Another little girl Alivia got to obsess over. This time she was a little older and could handle the Alivia death grip hug.

Mommy and her little turkey....

I think this is a new smile from miss Alivia. It's the I am on a counter and your taking my picture look.

Playing in the blue car with her teddy bear. I am so glad she is so gentle with babies, stuffed animals and real animals. We can thank Sampson for helping her with her gentle hand.

After a long busy week Alivia finally was able to catch up on any missed sleep on the way home.

Christmas came early.....

Well at least in Alivia's eye's. She has sat day after day and watched me get ready and put on my make-up. Some days it's hard to sit there and not get to do it herself. I have given her make-up bags with blush brushes to make due, but when that isn't fun anymore we want the real thing. Well Sunday November 22nd was the day to mark in the books. Alivia finally got her own compact powder. After months of waiting for me to finish it so she could have one of her own, that day was here.
When I washed it out and gave it to her you would have thought I was giving her all the candy in the world. She sat and played with it all day. She would put it on Sampson and then daddy. I don't think it left her side till bedtime. I love that the smallest and least expensive toys make her day.

The other night Clint and I were watching old re-runs of My Name Is Earl. A few minutes later I had this great idea to put Alivia's hair in a ponytail since it's so long in the back. Once I got it in Clint and I were laughing so hard Alivia started laughing not knowing we were laughing at her awesome pony. I don't know if it was watching white trash people on TV that inspired this I guess you would say white trash look for our beautiful daughter. She look adorable, but it might have been the funniest thing I have seen in awhile. Is it sad that we now get our amusement from our 1 1/2 year old these days. The joys of parenthood!

Day with dad

What a way to end a great weekend. Alivia spending some quality time with daddy, reading the paper. These past few months Alivia has really turned into a daddy's girl which is so fun to see. When he is home all she wants to do is be with him to read books, play with her dolls or play kitchen. Dad is a great sport about being creative with his imagination.
Alivia is checking out the toys r us section. Hopefully getting some good ideas for Santa!
I finally got Alivia on her horse. She normally gets off when the camera comes out. This video is awesome because daddy is singing in the background and Alivia is just jumping away. Oh and don't mind her shoes. We got our Christmas shoes and she won't take them off. I think she thinks they are tap shoes which she loves. We have been wearing these for two days now.

Future Movie Star!

Alivia's new favorite thing is to wear her sunglasses around the house. Maybe we have a movie star on our hands!!!

Mommy and daughter day...

Alivia and I took on a big task while daddy was gone. We thought we would surprise him and get started on picking up the leaves in the backyard so he could spend the whole weekend with us. The two of us had a great time outside all morning.

My little helper taking out all the bags for the leaves.
Trying to figure out how to open the bag... A little confusing for a 1 1/2 year old..

Proud of our hard work...

Alivia checking out the leaves. I think she liked jumping on them more and listening to them crinkle.

A clean backyard. Oh and by the next day the ground was covered again so Clint never really got to see what we did.

A beautiful fall day

We have been so lucky with nice weather lately. We definitely take advantage of it and are outside as much as we can. Even though we have put away a lot of our outside toys we still find fun with either leaves, sticks and our sandbox.
Sampson has been loving being able to be outside. I know he gets a little depressed in the winter time being stuck indoors. Today was his day to bask in the sun. I even caught him in a wonderful modeling pose next to his tree.
One of our last toys that we have outside since we put everything else away for winter. I think Alivia could find fun in anything she finds though. I hope this means her imagination will be good. I can always find her walking in the backyard with a stick in one hand and waving the other hand while talking in her alien language. Oh I love my little girl!

This is a video of her just hanging in the backyard with Sampson. I was trying to get her chasing Sampson with a stick and laughing, but of course when the camera comes out she stops.

Trick or Treat

This year was Alivia's first experience trick or treating. She had so much fun going house to house and picking out candy. The weekend started at Paul's work that was hosting a Halloween party for kids. It's was good practice for Alivia for Saturday night. She had a great time with Presley and Jack. The got to go around the office and trick or treat. After both of Alivia's hands were full of candy she was content.
Mommy and Alivia at the Halloween party before all the madness started.
Alivia following the kids through the office trick or treating for candy.
Alivia, Jack and Presley enjoying some candy...
Alivia slowly making her way through the trick or treating path. She easily got distracted by some of the peoples costumes...
Mommy daddy and Alivia....
Showing mommy her candy she is eating....
Big smiles after our first trick or treater came to the door. I think someone was finally ready to go herself.
Waiting patiently for the sun to set so we can head out....
We got a little tired after walking house to house. Clint and I had to switch off holding her. Oh and don't forget she continued to eat candy out of her bucket.

Alivia checking out what she is getting in her Halloween bucket.

Keeping good hands on her pumpkin...

Trick or treat!!!

A family affair I guess you could say.
Check out the candy in my mouth....

Here are two videos of Alivia's first time trick or treating. She did awesome and enjoyed every minute. I think dad did a good job too.
