My sick little girls

Most of you know that my two little girls have been very sick lately so I haven't been able to update the blog like normal. After three days of going to the doctor there has finally been diagnoses for them and are starting to feel much better. Thank you to everyone that has been thinking of us over the last few days we appreciate it a lot. Here are there stories...

Ella has been not herself since Sunday or Saturday night. She has been a little fussy and not eating as well as normal. Clint and I just kind of thought she has a cold and would be better with some Tylenol. Sunday night wasn't the greatest with high fever and very uncomfortable. Monday came around and she was not doing better at all. She had a fever of almost 105 and miserable. I finally called the doctor and we brought her in. Since she is so young they were concerned with her fever being so high. They ran every test possible and could not come up with an answer. Her white blood cell account came back a 24 when it should be between a 5-9. She had an infection some where, but none of the tests were giving us a solution. She had her blood drawn, finger pricked, her urine tested, ears, throat and nose checked and nothing. They gave her a shot in her leg and sent us home hoping it would fight off the infection by tomorrow.

We headed back after another long night and day to get checked out and this time Alivia joined us with a 104.9 temp and throwing up. Both girls had x-rays done, throats checked and blood drawn. Alivia had or has the pneumonia and doing much better today. Ella on the other hand still had not been diagnosed. Her white blood cells were still in the 20's when they should have dropped with the shot from the night before. The doctors gave her another shot and put Alivia on medication. Ella again had to come back for the third day to be looked at. This time we were able to see her doctor.

After another sleepless night and two sick girls we headed back for hopefully some answers. I guess they say third times a charm well good that we know what is wrong with her, but bad that she is in a lot of pain. Doctor Miller was the final end to this long process. He took one look in her mouth and found our infection. Her mouth is full of sores and her tonsils were swollen basically together. He mentioned the reason they didn't see this before is because this type of infection can take up to 72 hours to show up. So we have an answer for both girls and they are doing a lot of sleeping and cuddling with mom and dad. Grandma was so kind to come help today so I could get some things done too. So that is the story of our first major illness in our house.
