For those of you that didn't know Sampson was put to sleep a little over a week ago due to a tumor growing on his spin causing him to loose total control of his back to legs. It was the hardest thing Clint and I had to do, but know it was the right thing. He was the best dog and was perfect for our family. He will be greatly missed everyday!
I can remember Clint and his dad bringing Sampson home in this huge packing box to our town home in Ames, Iowa back in the Spring of 2005. He was so little and cute. Sampson was a perfect fit right away. Within a week he was potty trained and so easy to have around. We truly enjoyed all our time with him. Over the years as we stared having kids he kind of became second to each baby we brought home. The funniest thing about it he soon became a perfect body guard to each one of our kids. He sat with them, watched TV with them, played in the backyard with them and even let the dress him up. Sampson slowly moved right into the roll of becoming a friend to these crazy loud creatures Clint and I kept bringing home every two years.
Sampson laid for hours with the kids on the couch. He was so good about never complaining about what they were watching. I truly think his favorite show was Clifford:)
Ella at an early age loved to play with him. She would throw the ball to him and just wait for him to bring it back. For those of you that knew Sampson he was horrible at playing catch.

He even has a huge part of buying our first home. Sampson definitely had to have a backyard to run around in and feel at home.
